Are Wii the Children of the Revolution?

Do you think this is a true technological revolution or just hype?
I personally think that the Nintendo Wii is just a hype, just like everyother game system that has been created in the past. For example, Nintendo 64. i remember myself wanting the system because everyone had it, and when i say everyone, i mean EVERYONE had the system. and the major game i think that came with that system was mario and luigi or something like that. Anyways, the point it, if Nintendo had the same opinion, if this is a technological revolution? what about all the rest that came after the nintendo 64? GameCube? Playstation? Playstation 2? Playstation 3? Sega Genesis? or even game boys and psp's or Nintendo ds's? I bet that all of these game systems wouldve had the same opinion for they own systems. I do think that the Nintendo Wii is one of the better technologies that have been invented this generation, but then agian, i just think that all of this is just a hype to get everyone to think that its manditory to get the system. And when a new system comes out, that new and improved and way better than the Nintendo Wii, the same hype thats happening right now with the Nintendo Wii is gonna happen for the next new system. So, no, i do not think that its true, that the Nintendo Wii is a true technological revolution. It just a hype.

Hey nicole this is my first comment, and I agree to disagree with you. If you read my blog you would see that I think that the Wii is more then a hype, i've played the Wii many times and it really dosn't seem to bore me at all. It's true that everyone seems to want whats new, which is a true statment. For me i enjoy the Wii and I really think its a revelution. I mean I can play tennis by moving my hand, or run track with the speed my arm goes. You have to agree that the Wii is a huge revolution from Nintendo 64.

hey nicole,
I agree with your statement partly. Every gaming system is just hype at first, untill you actually try out the system. I agree the comment above, I believe it is more than just hype. The Nintendo Wii is an actual fun consel to play. The interaction with your movements and the chracter your playing, add a whole new concept and meaning to playing video games. Other gaming systems, like Xbox or playstation 3, all you really do is press bottons to control your player. The intentions of the Wii was to bring people together, like family and friends, and i believe it does. My cousins friend has a Nintendo Wii, and his place is the place to be. Before during this school year, practically every weekend we would go chill at his place and just have fun. i disagree, the Wii is a huge revolution from it's previous creations (Nintendo 64), and i believe it has achieve it's intentions to bring people together. Just some constructive criticsm.

No offense, but I completely disagree with your statement that the Wii is just hype. I feel that its a technological revolution and with its motion sensing nuncuck and remote it will certainly revolutionize the gaming industry. Well thats my opinion but I still honor ours.
